It is with incredible sadness that I learn of Bob Deacon’s passing. I had the fortune of knowing Bob as a critical and persuasive professor, who imparted to his students a bold vision of international governance for greater social good. There are several of us whose futures were in part helped shaped by Bob and his worldview, as reluctant as he would be to recognize it. He was an inspiration to many, one who will be sorely missed but certainly never forgotten. May we do our best to carry on his legacy in the work that we do every day.
